we ship many oversized books, it is difficult to quote one-size-fits-all shipping rates. Our shipping rates, both
domestic and international, are based on the actual weight of the item
and the zone assigned to your location.
We
will make every effort to provide the service you need at an
affordable rate. One way of implementing that has been the addition of
Contact Pogo's Place for a quote
of specific options for shipping this order. If
you have any concerns about the rate quoted for the book(s) you are
ordering, please select this as your shipping option also completing
your payment information for the order. NO charge will be
processed until you have selected a shipping fee via e-mail or
telephone. Domestic Shipping: PRIORITY MAIL - estimated delivery in
two to three business days
The USPS offers three flat rate Priority Mail options:
- For smaller items, the Priority
Mail Flat Rate Envelope with dimensions of 12.5 inches x
9.5 inches is $4.95 for any US destination. This is an envelope which
comfortably accommodates magazines or a small bubble-wrapped book. When
mailing a book, this envelope offers limited protection. If we have any doubt that an item will travel safely in this envelope, we will bring it to your attention. Most hardback books cannot be safely shipped in this envelope. There is also now a very small Priority Mail Flat Rate Box with dimensions of 5-3/8" x 8-5/8" x 1-5/8" at the $4.95 rate. It will not hold an average size book. We will use it, and charge you accordingly, when appropriate.
- For larger items, there are three Priority
Mail Flat Rate Boxes available.
The first two are $10.70 for any U.S. destination and any weight up to a 70 lb.
maximum. The inside dimensions are:
- 11

This box will accommodate three or four 'average' size books.
- 13.625
inches x 11.875 inches x 3.375
inches - This box will accommodate most oversize books
including
college annuals.
When not using a flat rate
method,
Priority Mail rates are determined by distance and weight. If we
can securely package your purchase and ship via Priority Mail at a
lower cost, we
will do so and charge you appropriately. Most 'average' size
books can ship to 'most' locations for less than $8.60.
The Large Flat Rate Box is $14.50 for any U.S. destination and any weight up to a 70 lb.
maximum.
- 12 inches x 12 inches x 5.5 inches
There will be the rare occasion when a purchase cannot ship for
$10.70 or $14.50. We will contact you before we take any action.
Media Mail (Book Rate -
4th Class Mail) - estimated delivery in
seven to twenty-one business days, Hawaii and Alaska considerably
longer.
We offer free shipping via USPS Media Mail for orders
of $35 or more shipping to a US address. Please select " Free Media Mail for orders
over $35, US
addresses only."
For orders under $35, Media Mail is based on the weight of the item(s) ordered.
FedEx, FedEx Ground and UPS are available on request. Please
add a comment to your order or e-mail us. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. International Shipping: The 2007 postal fee increase reshaped international shipping. Surface shipping is no longer available. All options are via air; some pricing increases are dramatic.
International Rates vary by country and there are basically 2 choices for shipping, First Class International and Priority International. The USPS has also introduced two Flat Rate Boxes (see below) in additional to the Flat Rate Envelope.
Small lightweight items can ship in a Flat Rate envelope for $13.45US to most countries, $11.45US to Canada and Mexico. If we have any doubt that an item will travel safely in this envelope, we will bring it to your attention before any charges are authorized.
Large items or multiple books up to 20 pounds can ship in a Flat Rate Box for $43.45US and $26.95 to Canada and Mexico. Maximum weight of this box is 20 pounds (9kg). For exceptionally large items, a larger Flat Rate box is available at $55.95 (Canada and Mexico are $33.95.) See sizes described in the Domestic Shipping area.
Shipping rates will be adjusted when we can ship for less than the shipping cart estimate. If charges must increase, we will contact you before any charge is authorized. Payment Methods Accepted:We can accept Visa, MasterCard Discover and American Express for processing through our own account with ProPay or via PayPal.
Please provide the CVV2 number or Security Code (the last three numbers on the back side of your Visa/Mastercard or the four digits from the front of your Amex card) in the appropriate place on the order form. We cannot process your order without them.
We also accept checks and money orders drawn in U.S. Dollars on U.S. banks, Google payments. If payment is made by personal check, shipment may be delayed 14 to 21 days after receipt.
If you elect to pay by mail, please contact us by email or telephone to have the book placed "on hold" for you. Items are held for seven days pending receipt of your payment. Our Refund Policy We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. All regular-priced books***, or other items, are returnable for a refund within 7 days of receipt. (Moving Sale items are NOT eligible for return or refund.) Please email us at returns@pogosplacebooks.com as soon as possible detailing the reason for the return. We will provide return instructions.
If on receipt you discover that you ordered the wrong book or it just isn't what you need, we will refund the price of the book only.
If the return is our fault (error in description, etc.), we will refund the price of the book, or other item, plus postage costs.
Your refund will be issued on receipt of the book in the same condition as when shipped.
*** Beginning January 1, 2010, Sale Items are not eligible for refund or return.
